Alcohol and substance misuse issues are increasingly of concern. Many young people find themselves at increased risk for many different reasons. The Targeted Life Skills Service provides alcohol and drug harm prevention programmes for vulnerable young people.
Exploring and empowering young people in the key areas of life that can lead to risky and unhealthy choices around substance use the Targeted Lifeskills Service hopes to prevent or reduce the harm from these choices.
We work alongside youth and community groups to provide between 4 and 8 sessions to established groups of identified at risk young people, as well as taking referrals from families and professionals working with individuals.
Lisburn YMCA provide this service across the Belfast and South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust Areas.
