Since it opened in 1988 the YMCA has sought to provide services for young people in the greater Lisburn area. We currently offer a range of provision for young people aged 11-19, delivered by a dedicated and highly experienced staff team.
We provide services for young people from all parts of the city and from different cultural and educational backgrounds.
Many of the young people using our services are experiencing challenging circumstances or feel excluded from other types of provision.
Lisburn YMCA offers a range of daytime provision including a day release, horticulture based personal development programme for school aged young people. We also provide an intensive, 12 week programme for young people not in employment, education or training.
Our evening youth provision includes centre based and detached work which engages young people who congregate in the city centre and surrounding areas. These are needs based programmes of group and individual work that are designed in consultation with the young people.
